Having missed our fix last week due to the Cyclone, it was nice to be able to set the alarm for parkrun. Not so nice to be setting it for 05:30, however, due to the heat, all events in Queensland start at 07:00.

As this was our second trip to this event and because I wanted to get a 5km participation credit, we had arranged to be a parkwalker and a parkEroller.

The course is an undulating two lapper with an out and back segment and a back and out segment at the end of lap 1 start of lap 2. With two long sections of runners going in opposite directions, it can be a busy course particularly with todays numbers, 275, which is the 2nd highest since the covid 19 break.

In regular tradition we went for breakfast after.
