Well it would have been wrong to be in Melbourne and not gone to a show or two.

On Thursday 3rd April we went to a show by Oliver Coleman. He’s an Aussie and the headline said “was nominated for Most Outstanding Show at Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2024. Now he returns with his best show yet!”

From Rory’s perspective he is very pleased not to have seen any of his other shows as this one was dire.

On Friday 4th April we went to 3 shows, TGIF! with Charlie Pickering, Mark Watson with Before It Overtakes Us and Sara Pascoe with I Am A Strange Gloop. The first of these was a live recording of a weekly Radio show and as we are in Australia we went to see 2 Brits.

Rory – The Radio show was interesting as you got to see the audience being whipped up to levels of excitement to give huge rounds of applause that they weren’t going to give without the “off air” encourager.

Both the Brits were good with Mark Watson being the funnier of the two with his observational style.
