To be fair the visit to Tasmania got of to a bad start as the powerchair wasn’t delivered to the plane door like it was supposed to be. Therefore there was a very anxious 30 – 40 minutes whilst we waited for it to arrive. Then the issues continued as the car hire place was no longer open so we had to get a taxi ride to our Airbnb.
40 minutes and $140 (£68) later our luck changed as we arrived at our destination. Our host, Barbara, was there to meet us and even brought us some cheese and biscuits.
The accommodation inside was an absolute delight. Accessibility was pretty perfect (see clip below).
It was dark when we arrived so we were absolutely delighted to wake up on Tuesday morning to discover this.
Barbara very kindly drove us back to the airport so that we could pick up the car. On the way back we went to Seahorse World (see separate photo album)
I then did some filming of the property
For peace and tranquility I’m not sure we could have found a better place to stay. Lots of local wildlife to just look at from the decking.
Whilst we did a lot of relaxation in Tasmania.
We also went to a quirky shop that Hilary thought was going to be a “vintage” shop!
A trip on a boat down Cataract gorge
Hilary went Wild swimming on the river by our chalet, however, due to the 6 tides a day, the dip time went from 9:15 to 10:15 and on the final day 11:15.
Finally on the Friday, after a very quick reccy of the location for the Tassie parkrun, we went for dinner.
