Travelling by Rottnest Express ferry (I don’t like boats!) we arrived on the island about 11am.

It is clearly a weekend getaway destination as loads of families had packed half their house, plus bikes!

We had arranged to collect a golf buggy to use- I had completed an online test to be able to get a driving permit for the island 😊

Buggy collected, we set off to explore.

Stopped along the route round the island to take in some views.

Rory wasn’t getting excited by this.

Headed back to the main settlement area to spot Quokkas. They are a cute marsupial native to Rottnest.

Caught the ferry as scheduled, awful crossing, not helped by Rory with his “whoa and ooh” every time we dipped and swayed! 🤢

Not too sure about the Quokkas, look very much lile rats 😬. Were there many?
